Yes. I use the Speak Screen option on my iPhone for the Kindle app and the baked in Books app. I listen to (lite fiction) books this way when sewing etc. This works for anything really, emails, news, anything with text.

I still don't understand why the OP said "Hi, who says the program is designed to read ePub?" What am I missing?

Adding...I've no dog in this fight. After looking at the app, I won't pay a yearly subscription for a book app.

Developer? People using the app? One person from reddit? The other person from mobileforum? Another person via email? Etc.

And I think people using the app via some consensus is the right decision.

That is why I added roadmap into the app for this one and only reason: to shape the app in the future not by what I think is the best, but what the people think is the best.
This PDF support is on top from the beginning, so from this perspective, people who are using the app for reading epubs, are missing pdf support.

And for text to speech I am playing with some better sounding voices, meaning: Sherpa-ONNX, Fish Audio S2 and Kokoro.

Just to let you all know, as here was the talk about PDF.
PDF is done, partially tested.
Full testing planned for next two days, so the release (with few minor changes and fixes about Calibre sync, drop cap and sheets while reading) will take place this week.

In next minor releases before TTS, configurability of list/grid will be added and calibre sync settings will be synced also (with an option to enable/disable).
