How would you use the Apple Pencil?

Quick question for justRead users on iPad:

If you could use the Apple Pencil inside justRead, what would you want to do with it? Highlighting? Changing pages? Some specific action (bookmarking with some double tap, settings panel showing, etc.)?

I'm trying to get a sense of what people would actually find useful (or whether to skip this feature entirely).

Add your ideas below, even small ones, please.

For me Apple Pencil is not a feature I need. I use justread.app for reading. And every action I want to do I can do by tapping with my fingers. So for me there is really no need for this feature.

Thank you for the feedback. I got few emails from users about adding this feature, I also got some ideas, but would like to have as much feedback as possible before doing it. Maybe I will postpone it until it will be obvious, what real benefits will this feature have for users.
I am in the same boat as you, even on iPad I do not use pencil a lot and for reading I just use my fingers, no problems at all. But I am open to all ideas.

I wouldn’t have much use for it as a feature either.

I use the pencil in other apps, but not for books.

Thank you both, I am putting this feature on hiatus, until it will be crystal clear, what should it do.

Meaning next version will be all about PDF support.

Loading, showing in library, statistics and viewing is all done and I am now 'playing' with everything inside reading: highlights, bookmarks, notes, all that bottom panel, rotating, etc.

Wild guess is that new version with this PDF support will be out in 1 or 2 weeks.

For a program that is designed to read ePub, having PDF is worthless. Please remove all PDF code.

Hi, who says the program is designed to read ePub? PDF is the most requested feature, why do you think it is worthless? Should I write those people that I am deleting all the PDF code, because you want to delete it?

:-) it is an epub reader with upcoming pdf support. Second most demanded is text to speech. So it still be epub reader, with pdf and TTS functionality.

TTS is built into iOS/iPadOS. So it's just a matter of allowing it to be used.

PDF is bloat. Please ditch it. If you keep PDF, then you'd told a fairy story to us with the description of the program.

I can‘t understand this discussion. IMHO it is the only decision of the developer which features are added to the program. It‘s a nice gesture to ask us what we would like to see in the app. But actually it‘s the one and only decision of petrjahoda.

It's been advertised as an ePub reader and it should stay an ePub reader. Not and ePub and PDF reader.
