Just looked at the latest long-range forecast - couple more days in the heat wave (temps > 95 F) then rain/storms for 40 days & 40 nights .... going to be a wild weather year methinks

Brings back fond memories of my first year in Vancouver. It was raining when I arrived in mid-August and it was still raining when I took the bus home in mid-October. There were somewhat serious discussions of ark construction.

Yesterday it didn't rain as much as predicted, but it did rain when I cycled home from work (of course).

Currently (6.10am) the sun is trying to get out from behind the clouds and it should be dry most of the day, until the mid to late afternoon. Which means I'll have to wear my raincoat again. It's going to be a rainy/drizzly evening.

At 15℃ it'll be a little bit cooler than average for this time of year. But by Thursday it should be dry and over 20℃, which should last most of next week.

My car registered temps ranging from 95 to 99 around the Triangle yesterday. Twas, in a word, miserable. I am looking forward to the rain washout.

My deck thermometer has registered >100 F for days now - and Pixie cat insists on taking her afternoon nap lying between the glass deck doors and the thermal drapes - loves toasting herself.

After almost two weeks of colder weather today will see a change. Where last week and earlier this week temperatures didn't go over 12℃ today it'll be 21℃ and sunny.

From tomorrow until Monday temps will rise to between 25℃ and 30℃, from Tuesday onwards it'll be a little bit cooler, but still over 20℃.

No rain for at least the next week and not too windy. It seems we only got a little bit of spring and are now going straight into summer.
