Thank you, I am eagerly looking forward to reading my public library's magazines and books with the Libby app on the Kobo. I should have done this a long time ago.

Not sure if the discount counts on those, but there are, sometimes, used or refurbished ones; I was watching a Pocketbook Color Note and Pocketbook Inkpad 3 on Amazon, on its .it, .com, .uk, etcetera.. (at 240$ minus the discount it won't be bad imho).

I suspect it's because I tried to download hundreds of books rather than that the replacement battery is a scam, but you never know.

I've still got hundreds more books to download, and don't know if I'll get them all done in time. I wonder if my entire library will fit on the device?

Copy 100s at a time to PC*, then delete. Even without DRM removal they will work copied back to the exact same Kindle.

Backup PC.

That was my plan, but I was surprised by how much free space I had, so I'm not sure I need to do that.

Maybe it's still working because... The Kindle Paperwhite 5 (so called Kindle 11 Gen.) from 2021 hasn't been depreciated. The one that has been is the Kindle Paperwhite (Kindle 5 Gen. from 2012).
