That's been my experience with it on my ereader. As I related in my last post, to me, it just looks too thin. To find an alternative, I printed a font sample sheet and compared the different fonts against each other. That led me to choose Bookman Old Style.

Garamond is used a lot as an embedded font because the publisher wants to make the eBook look like the pBook.

I'd rather choose a font where the base/default form doesn't need to be adjusted to make it acceptable. That's why I chose Bookman Old Style, it looks similar to Garamond but it didn't need an adjustment to look fine.

How is that useful when it's just a very limited preview with most of the pages missing?
