Hey buddy, I totally agree. Marvin is so amazing. After much searching, my own opinion is that BookFusion is the least rotten alternative. I can set the colors to black background and red letters for night reading, and set it to continuous scrolling.

… right after I bought a subscription to BookFusion of course. Man, Marvin is just so superior. I love two finger tapping to change colors.

I’m tempted to switch back but with my luck it’ll break again on the next iOS update.

I wish there were a way to get the developer to put the app back in the App Store. I’d buy it again or pay a couple bucks a month.

Me too, and I'm not one for subscriptions, but I'd subscribe to Marvin.

I miss Marvin very much--I was also excited when the app was able to open again after the latest updates--however, I still face the same "in book" experience of not being able to move through the pages--I was never able to figure out how to fix the books so they would work. I do have a few older books that operate "normally" but wasn't able to figure out why and how to apply those magic characteristics to the wonky books. Alas, I'm sticking with either readest or mapleread (I still have them in a page-to-page competition). I would also pay Kris real money to resurrect Marvin.

My iPad is running 18.7.2. I'm wondering if it's safe to upgrade to 18.7.8. Does Marvin still work for the latest version of iOS18? I will be devastated if I lose Marvin. I primarily use my iPad for reading and no App for iOS even comes close. I like Moon+ Reader Pro, which I use on my Boox (e-ink device) but it's only for Android.

Yes, Marvin still works the same on 18.7.8.

I kept my iPad Pro 10.5 on 14.8.1 for Marvin. I think 14 is the last firmware without glaring UI issues when highlighting. I don't really use that iPad for anything else.
