An eighth of a century later, I have finally proofed The LIFE and OPINIONS of TRISTRAM SHANDY against the first editions (or, for VOL. I & II, the second). Since I still lack the patience to train my OCR software to recognize the long s, I have done it by comparing the version on Wikisource with the one by Masaru Uchida and corrected hundreds of mistakes and variants. I have also added information on which editions the texts are based. I couldn’t find out any more where STERNE’s LETTERS to his Friends on Various Occasions was from, so I proofed it against the first edition. Furthermore, page numbers are hidden in the code for most texts; these can be made visible by removing “display: none” from the <del> element in the stylesheet.
