Go6 Stuck in a boot loop while trying to root with magisk
Hi, I tried to flash magisk patched boot file to Boox Go6, like this:
Code:
1266 edl w boot_a magisk_patched-28102_0h01P.img 1267 edl w vbmeta_a vbmeta.img 1268 edl reset With EDL-Cable I'm able to go back to EDL Mode, but even flashing the original boot.img leaves me in a boot loop? What could I do now? Thanks! |

The first thing with a "boot loop" is to determine what kind it is.
Do you get the boot animation of skating elephants or whatever? Did you enable ADB already? Can you connect to ADB in the time that the animation is running? When you say "original" do you mean something that came directly off your device or only what you think was on there before? |

It just read "boox" for like 5 to 10 seconds, than it restarts. No moving elephants. No ADB during that time (I activated USB debugging before).
I flashed the boot.img from the decoded update.zip, which I think was on there before. I have no other Backup, sadly. |

Pushing the power button five times while it boots might get you to recovery.
If not, you can flash a little file to misc using EDL that will get you to recovery. You will need an EDL cable to get you to EDL. From recovery you can adb sideload update.zip. That's the decrypted Go6 update. Code:
Model: Go6 (English) Finger: Onyx/Go6/Go6:11/2026-02-09_19-58_4.1.1-rel_0209_5c56f32dee/50784:user/release-keys Link: http://firmware-us.boox.com/61c2537ee330d0fcd96058ededd59efc/update.upx Size: 1,782,142,802 MD5: 61c2537ee330d0fcd96058ededd59efc |

Pushing the Power button 5 times didn´t work.
I´ve got an EDL-Cable, I can get to EDL mode flashing a little file to misc (edl w misc file) didn´t bring me to recovery, always restarting. I messed it up pretty good.. Do I have more options? |

Um, I meant the file "misc-recovery", not just a random file.

That worked, partielly:
Now I can actually go to recovery and reach the Go6 with adb, but then adb sideload fails as follows.. Code:
> adb devices List of devices attached 6xxxxxxx device > adb sideload update.zip adb: sideload connection failed: closed adb: trying pre-KitKat sideload method... adb: pre-KitKat sideload connection failed: closed |

With
Code:
adb shell start autoupdate I thought sda1 should be FAT32, but this doesn´t work.. |
