Question: For patch to increase chapter progress chart size, it makes it bars skinny. Is there way to make them thicker?

Edit nickel.yaml and find the patch. It should be obvious what to change.

Thing is, the width seems pretty big for the skinny bars

Try larger numbers and see if that helps. If not, then I'd say the size you have is as wide as you're allowed. But it can't hurt to try.

I don't believe either of you are correct in your understanding of patch
Increase size of kepub/audio chapter progress chart which patches 2 nickel CSS resources (ReadingMenuStatsView.qss and AudioMenuStatsView.qss)

The existing patch (unedited) does 2 things:

1. Increases the height of each bar
2. Increases the number of visible bars by increasing the horizontal space available to display them.

I believe the width of each chapter bar remains unchanged.

If you also want to change the width of each bar you would need an additional nickel custom patch for a different nickel CSS resource, namely PagingBarGraphWidget.qss.

You can experiment with this test patch for your LibraH2O. Put it wherever you keep your other custom nickel patches. Edit the bold, red bit until you get the look you want:

Not really. The quick-and-dirty test patch only covers a subset of devices - AuraHD/AuraH2O/AuraH2O2/GloHD/Clara*/Libra*. To become "official" it would need to be expanded to include the rest of the Kobo devices. This wouldn't be difficult but @ownedbycats is the only person to register any interest in all the years we've had kobopatch.

This may be "famous last words" but FWIW I wouldn't be surprised to find that the test patch keeps working as-is through any future versions (if any) of fw4.38.xxxxx. The kepub/audio chapter barchart CSS has rarely (if ever) changed since Kobo audiobooks were launched.

, is this part broken?

As far as I know, that only applies to the patch immediately below the warning.

Since Unify Font Sizes is one of the two patches I use, I can safely say that it is working for me.

I just had a look at there is no comment that Unify font sizes does not work.

When you see the comment ##Does not work, it only applies to the patch directly underneath the comment.
