Problem with resizing book covers.

Hi - I have installed Resize Cover as a plugin alongside Polish Books with a size of 750 width 1081 height, but when the books are shown in the Kindle app on a Lenovo Duet 3 tablet, the books sizes don't match with some books looking taller, some wider, and some small. Please tell me what I am doing wrong. I have tried using Epub and AZW3 formats but nothing's working. Please tell me what I am doing wrong.

Thanks,

Gavin.

What you are doing by using a specific height and width, you are changing most covers so they are no longer at the correct aspect ratio. What you need to do is change the covers to 1081 lines and let the width be whatever it needs to be to keep the correct aspect ratio.

Are you embedding the cover into the ebook before it is sent to your Lenovo? Using calibre's Polish tool is probably the easiest way to handle this. Also check your Save to Disk setup for embedding metadata.

Thanks for the advice - I have set my height at 1081 and the width is 750 for both books - here is where the problem still persists. On Calibre, when I hover my mouse over the books on the main page, everything is as it should be and also when I Edit Metadata, the covers are showing the correct height and width. But when I use the Send to Kindle function to transfer the books into my Kindle app on the tablet, one book is still shorter than the other even though I have polished the books after resizing the covers. I must be missing something. Sorry to go on about it but it's driving me mad!
