Yes, confirming and a quick fix 2.3.1 was just sent.
New Features - Edge sliders for brightness and font size: vertical glass capsules anchored to the reader edge, draggable while the reading menu is visible - "Only show when reading menu is on" toggle for both edge sliders, persisted via UserDefaults, iCloud, and CloudKit Fixes - Faster app launch: the library now appears immediately instead of waiting for the subscription check to finish, so the app feels snappy even on slow networks or in airplane mode Last edited by petrjahoda; 04-25-2026 at 12:10 PM. |

Idk if the new update made this more sensitive, or if I’m just noticing it for the first time, but I don’t love that swiping from the very left edge close the book your reading. In the page turn mode, I’d much prefer only pulling down from the top closes the book.

Helo gustophersmob, it is in the app almost from beginning and I use standard Apple function for this (the same as in Photos, Music, etc.)

Hi gustophersmob, do you use swipe to go back? I suppose you do, from the description.
Then... why are you starting 'from the very left edge' if you want to swipe back a page? Than does not make sense to me. Maybe... can you please create me a video and sent it to support@justread.app. Maybe I am not understand it properly, because I cannot imagine what exactly you are doing. Also, maybe here is the clue... what is that 'paging back more'? |

The “paging back more” comment was meant to say that maybe I’ve been going back pages more often than before for some reason, which made me notice this now. Overall it’s not an issue, I’ll adjust the way I swipe and it will be no problem once I’m used to it. |
