My question is, will Kobo switch to LCP for KePub or will we get a choice or will they not implement LCP at kobo.com?

IIRC, the Overdrive integration with Kindle and Kobo use their native DRM, not Adept.

Overdrive does use Adept DRM when you download the ePub. You don't have to sync from Kobo.
