Yeah it’s different from unit to unit, mine didn’t respond to pulling or pushing but I was able to wedge a very thin needle between the SD card and it’s housing and scrape off the coating.

Grazie, grazie.

Ringrazio

In English...
Thank you, thank you. I followed your instructions to free the SD card:
  1. I used a very thin stainless steel spatula, 4 mm wide and 0.1 mm thick.
  2. I gently inserted it between the SD card and the storage box.
  3. I repeatedly pushed the spatula across the entire glued surface, especially on the three sides.
  4. I didn't use the flower to push it out, just my fingernails to extract it.
  5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 until the SD card came out.
  6. I created the .img file and expanded it onto a 512 GB SD card.
  7. I then expanded the new volume from 32 GB to about 500 GB.
  8. I inserted the SD card, protected it with simple adhesive tape, restarted the Kobo Libra 2, and everything was fine. I closed it again.

Hello,
I am new here and have a Kobo Libra2 N418 that died in the middle of uploading an ebook to it. Now it has a white screen and flashing white LED. I have tried all manner of button presses/resets, and the best it can do it momentarily go to a black screen and then back to white screen. So I guess its not powered off? I would like to open it up and replace the SD card and start setup from scratch, but I dont know if its safe to remove and replace SD card while it is at a white screen? The battery is soldered, so I cannot just unplug it either. Does anyone have any advice? Not sure what to do at this point ....

The screen is bistable. It does not need power to hold an image. If you press the power button for around 25-30 seconds, it should force your Libra off.

If you want to replace the SD card, please post your request in the Kobo µSD Card Image Requests thread.

Hello,

Thanks I will do that and attempt to remove the SD card. If successful, I will post to get an image.
