Hi everyone,
justRead.app is a new EPUB reader for iPhone and iPad, available on the App Store.

You can learn more about the app and its features at justread.app.

We also have a public roadmap where you can see what's coming. If you want to vote on features, to move something forward, you can in the app itself.

We'll be checking this forum regularly. If you run into any issues, have feature requests, or just want to share thoughts about the app: please post here, in the app or send me email.

Version 1.9 [28.3 sent to Apple Store]

New Features
- Color presets: create custom text and background color combinations, and set them to activate automatically by light/dark mode or sunrise/sunset
- Want to read: mark books you plan to read next, with a dedicated section on the home screen
- Markdown export: export your highlights as Markdown for use in other apps
- Multiple authors: books with multiple authors are now displayed and searchable individually
- Book details: view description, language, publisher, and publication date for your books
- Tap-to-view images: tap images inside books to view them full-size
- Estimated page counts: books now show an estimated page count based on content length

- Tag filtering: quickly filter your library by tags from the filter menu, or browse all tags with search
- Review & feedback flow: after finishing a book, share your thoughts via App Store review or send feedback directly
- Billing warning banner: a gentle notification if there's an issue with your subscription payment, with a direct link to fix it
- Drag & drop import: drop EPUB files directly into the app on iPad

Improvements
- Redesigned onboarding with a cleaner, more focused introduction
- Paywall redesigned to match the new look, with better iPad support
- Reader settings reorganized into clearer sections: Edge Controls, Reading Bars, and Display
- Select button moved inside the Collections menu for a cleaner toolbar
- One-time swipe hint shows new users how to access collections and delete actions
- Home screen now shows a helpful message when your library is empty
- Highlights loading now shows a spinner instead of a blank screen
- Roadmap and feature suggestions show clear error messages instead of failing silently

- Red underline highlight style (6th color option)
- Bulk book selection for assigning collections in the library
- Per-book reading statistics: accessible from the book Details sheet and a new Stats sheet inside the reader (daily reading chart, consistency score, longest session)

Improvements/Fixes:
- Cloud sync icon now only appears while actively syncing
- Highlights icon shown directly in the toolbar on iPad (instead of buried in ellipsis menu)
- Library statistics sheet simplified, now includes collections count
- "Select" option moved into the iPad ellipsis menu (above "Change library")
- Better tap targets: increased bottom toolbar icon font size
- Accessibility labels added to book stats loading and stat rows

- Tappable progress chart: tap anywhere on the book progress chart to jump to that position
- Always-visible reading bar: new option to keep the top reading bar visible while reading
- Original font mode: now extracts and uses the publisher's font from the EPUB itself when Original font selected

Improvements:
- Better hyphenation: hyphenation now works for all text alignments (not just justified), with more aggressive word-breaking
- Improved line width: removed max line length constraint at small font sizes for better space usage
- iPad toolbar: consolidated toolbar items to prevent overlap when using tab bar mode
- Library jumpbar: alphabet jumpbar now has a semi-transparent background for better readability

Fixes:
- CloudKit sync: fixed sync not working after a fresh install on both devices
