Post Kindle Carousel: turn your old Kindle into an interactive dashboard

I’m happy to announce the release of Kindle Carousel, a small side project for anyone who has an old Kindle 3 (keyboard) or Kindle 4 NT lying around.

It allows you to display your web apps on the Kindle’s beautiful e-ink screen: news, weather, calendars, to-do lists, or anything else you can think of. You switch between these apps using the Kindle’s physical buttons, or let them rotate automatically.

The best way to understand Kindle Carousel is by watching this short demo video:

Let me know if you have any questions or feedback. More information is available in the GitHub repo.

This project was only possible thanks to the helpful information on this forum and the wiki. Special thanks to everyone who worked on the jailbreaks, and to NiLuJe for the Python package.
