Is there a way to increase line spacing? If so, I can’t find it.

I just installed justRead.app and I find a number of issues. I don't think this should have been released just yet. Also, I cannot see a discount on the lifetime price. Also, if we only get a week for the special pricing, then it's not going to work because of the number of issues that need to be fixed before it can be properly tested.

• No hyphenation
• No line height adjustment so I cannot decrease the line height
• the line height is too large
• Vertical and horizontal margins are incorrectly reversed
• The top/bottom margins are wrong. The bottom margin is OK, but the top margin goes to the top of the screen and the bar on the screen obscures some text. The default T/B margins should have the text before the bar and at the bottom of the screen. So I have extra space at the bottom of the screen because I have to have a top margin to make the text below the bar. I have room for at least two lines (well it would be two lines if the line height was not so large)
• Does not respect the metadata in the font for rendering the lien height by default
• The line height is too large. It should be (by default) using the font's line height metadata
• Aa is where the font size should be found
• Alice in Wonderland is said to have an error at the beginning of the book so it's not rendering something correctly

I believe you have to turn off "Publisher Style". Then options for text alignment, line height, word spacing, letter spacing, paragraph spacing and hyphens appear.

I'm sure the developer is trying to do so. But as with any app on the Apple app store, any update will need to be approved by Apple, which I suspect takes time.

No, it's not reasonable to expect every problem with an app to be fixed to your satisfaction before a developer puts a price on the software.]

I will buy lifetime as soon as it’s available. I see it in the App Store but I don’t see any way to purchase it.

There is a bug in line height. When I make the line height smaller then in publisher mode, not all lines are the same line height. I have to go to 110% to get the line height the same for the main text.



Another line height bug is that between 0 and 80%, the line height does not change. I want to make the line height smaller then show in the screen grab, but that's not working.

Another thing that could be changed is Publisher Style. Let us have the overrides with no need for Publisher style. We'll just either have the overrides on or off and if off, the publisher CSS takes control.

And one other thing, if line height is off, let the metadata for the font decide the line height.

Whehn adjusting the brightness, please don't use haptic feedback.

As for the vertical margins, please make then individually adjustable so we can adjust for the top and bottom margins separately. This will solve the problem with the status bar. Also, by default, the top margin should not be so high that text is under the status bar.

I am hoping these issues get fixed before the version with the lifetime price is released.

Just tried it on my ipad 11" (OS 18). Looking pretty good. I think the following needs correcting or improvement:
-Title/author does not show up while reading, only if I press on the middle and also get the settings bar. Also, Title and author could show on one line instead of 2.
-Can't find the setting to change from the white text on black to black on white. The little round dot on the left of the settings don't appear to change anything.
-I would like to tap both on the left and on the right to go forward, instead of tapping on one or the other. (depends on how I'm holding the tablet).
-Justification appears to turn on or off when changing vertical or horizontal spacing. I'd prefer to choose.
-Landscape mode. I was adding and subtracting space on vertical and horizontal and the two columns in Landscape turned into only one and I couldn't get it to go back to 2.

Hope this helps. Before retirement, one of the things I did was test out software and I like yours so far.

I'm hopping the issues posted are being worked on for the iPad version before it's released and beiong worked on for the iPhone version before another version is released.
