If i may ask, this is probably (definitely) a dumb question, but adding this does nothing at all:
text-align: justify !impotant; What would i need to change please? This is the entire CSS, just in case it's something else causing this: body { line-height: 1.4 !important; word-spacing: -0.5 !important; letter-spacing: 1.0 !important; font-weight: 350 !important; font-family: sans-serif !important; text-align: justify !important; } And my thanks in advance for your time

The problem I am having with the view is that the lines don't all line up just right in the window, unless the conditions are just right. Here are my style settings :
body {color:rgb(30,100,30) !important; background-color:rgb(0,0,0) !important; text-align:justify !important; line-spacing:1.15 !important; margin-top:0px !important; margin-bottom:5px !important; margin-right:25px !important; margin-left:25px !important; text-indent:3em !important;} h1, h2, h3, h4, h5, h6 {color:rgb(50,120,50) !important; text-align:center !important; font-style:italic !important; font-weight:bold !important;} I copied that out of a post in the discussion, and these settings work pretty good for what I want. I would like to change the font-weight to regular, don't know if that will work but I am going to experiment with trying setting it to font-weight:regular and see if that works. I may decide to go back to bold, as I have gotten used to reading with that setting. What I mean by the lines not lining up perfectly in the viewer window is that if the upper line is near the top edge of the window, but too far down by just a little bit, it 'cuts off' the bottom of the letters on the last line in the window. If I 'grab' the top edge of the viewer window and 'stretch' it upward, then the lines snap into alignment just right. The top and bottom lines are both within the viewer window, with just a very thin amount of the background color visible between the top line and the top of the window, and just a very thin amount of the background visible between the bottom of window and the last line in the window. But the lines don't remain in this alignment. As I scroll, they will 'stray out of' alignment, and the bottom of the last line will be 'cut off' by the bottom of the window. Sometimes it lines up where the top half of the top line is cut off and the bottom half of the bottom line will be cut off, which isn't too distracting. It is only when all of the lines are fully visible and the bottom line is 'cut off' that it becomes truly distracting. I find myself having to 'grab' the top edge of the viewer with the cursor and 'stretch' the window up to cause the lines to 'pop back into alignment' that becomes very distracting. And having to do this often slows down my reading and becomes very frustrating. Is this just a problem with the viewer that I am going to have to 'learn to live with'? Or is there some kind of adjustment I can make to my settings that will stop this problem from happening and keep the lines aligned correctly and all inside the viewer window all of the time? Thank you in advance for any help anyone can give me on this problem. And many thanks to the developer for Calibre for this awesome reader software! |
