Adobe InDesign

This started life as DTP for paper and fixed layouts.
It's maybe rental only now?

A warning for Adobe InDesign users. After preparing a document, the recipient of that document sent me the alt text that popped up on one of their figures was offensively wrong. Apparently, by default, InDesign now uses AI to generate (often hilariously wrong) alt text for images.

I suggest you visit the Adobe site for your particular sales region, as well as your particular customer kind (single user, small commercial, etc.) to make sure you get correct info.

My local site seems not to license ID alone, but some form of Creative Cloud, which, in some configurations, includes ID. I don't seem to find any 'smaller' license that ID + Adobe Express + Adobe Firefly (and including the Adobe Fonts library and some other 'free' stuff). And yes, Creative Cloud seem to be licensed by month.

The last version of Adobe InDesign which could be installed locally and used mostly w/o network access as CS6.
