Kobo Nia touch problem (stops responding after a while)

Hello, I recently bought a second-hand Kobo Nia. I noticed that there is a problem with the touch screen, which stops responding after a while. On the postmarketos wiki, I read that the Kobo Nia Rev. A has some kind of touch screen problem, and I probably have this version. I removed the back cover, checked the touch screen ribbon cable, and everything seems to be working. Restoring the factory settings did not change anything. Transferring the image from one memory card to another did not help either.. Does anyone have any idea how to fix this?

I managed to repair the touchscreen in version A. I took apart the entire reader, removed the motherboard and detached the front frame. Then I cleaned the entire screen with a microfibre cloth and isopropanol, thoroughly cleaning the edges of the screen and touch panel with a cotton bud dipped in isopropanol. Then I covered a part of the screen with ordinary office tape so that the tape covered the edge of the touch panel and did not overlap the touch layer or extend beyond the frame. I have been testing the reader for several hours and there has not been a single case of ghost touch.

The problem with Kobo nia rev A may indeed be poor shielding of the tracks, which are too exposed just below the frame. Any dust and we already have touch problems. I have no idea if office tape can block external EMI interference, but at least it will protect the touch panel from dust and dirt a little.
