Which daemon / software controls the menubar rendering? in 5.6.1

Hello.
I am running a custom fullscreen python application on a pw2 on the 5.6.1.1 firmware.
Every so often the menu bar gets update by the os and messes up my application's screen rendering.
Can anyone point me to the system daemon or script which is controlling this part?

thanks!
