There are 4 types: blue with bold, blue with light, bold, light. For me neither blue nor bold is needed as the two columns show everything. But maybe helpful for other users. With the complex color bold/blue layout would it make sense to add a description to that?

Well, the intent was to make just a coloured background *in addition to the previous formatting*. Italic + bold means user-customised shortcut, those can be found in the file main.json under config dir/ shortcuts. I will see if i can add a clarifying tooltip or something to that effect.

I choose to do on demand backups when I sense something I want to make sure keeps working exactly as is, before some event (e.g. bulk metadata edits, plugin updates not so much). So I have indeed many plugin backups but not for every version released. Glad you mentioned Comfy Reminders, but I never thought of adding automatic reminders based on calibre configuration events.. you keep giving me ideas, sigh.

I don't see any colours, I assume that's because I don't have a palette. Couldn't find one that did what I want… to clearly show which UI element has keyboard focus… I don't believe it's possible using the options available in a calibre.palette. A 1px sky-blue border might have been okay on VGA, but not so much on 4KUHD.

I'd rather not have the colour, for me bold/italics was adequate, but the plugin has no configuration options; so, let's leave it be.

Q. In Plugins - what is the difference between Customisable and Is Configurable?

If I recal correctly I placed some aliases for some search operators. But there shouldn't be columns for each one, just one for the main assignment. Will look into this ASAP.

It looks like I selected the column to do something - e.g. SUM(Current:Current) :lol:

Q. What is the Install Type in the Plugins list?

It would be nice if Shortcuts sorted the Current column Modifier.Key, so that all the Alt+somethings were together.

a right click menu in Current column header:

Sort - Alphabetic,
Sort - Modifier.Key
Sort - Key.Modifier
Use colour if Current is Custom ☐

Only for your information - attached a snapshot to show usage of color and bold:
- bold and blue with customize
- light and blue without change
- bold and non-blue but customized
- light and non-blue (not shown in the screen) unchanged
