Would that only be true if BASIC can't get the job done? Isn't it true that BASIC can do just about anything but it would take a lot more work than other programming languages?

How many flavours/dialects would you like? Would 136 be enough to make you happy? Can I count TDL/CDL's 4K, 8K and 12K BASIC dialects as separate dialects though they aren't listed in the Wikipedia Basic Dialects page?
