File name templates are used in adding books, so I would think this one:

It's at Preferences->Adding books->Reading Metadata

Go into Advanced mode and click the paper clip in top button row.

My browsers won't let me access directfiles.

Go into Advanced mode. Click on either the Paperclip icon or the Manage Attachments button. Browse for the files you want to attach and then click Upload.
