Thanks for the detailed report. I am revising the shorcuts. (reviewing?)

Unless a user looks in CCR shortcuts (most won't) they won't discover the Copy system information feature - it needs a a visible something, if there is one it's not obvious to me.

Suggestion : move the CCR Version so that it sits on top of the calibre version (i.e. to represent the 'stack') - put a button with a copy to clipboard icon alongside with tool tip "Copy system information (shortcut if any)"

Not only that, I had to reinstate the shortcuts for Count Pages and Modify.

When I press Enter or Double click on a Shortcut, the shortcut list window pops… on top of the CCR window… which is on top of main calibre window… at the selected shortcut:



When I press Enter or Double click on an Action or Setting, the CCR window is pushed behind the main calibre window and then the 'relevant' settings window is popped… easy to lose track of where one is at.

Am I right in saying the Action and especially the Settings lists themselves are incomplete, as well as the linkages to 'whatever' being sometimes erroneous, e.g.



AFAIK - there is no such feature as "Preferences->Library->Splitting", the "Check Duplicates on Copy/Move" setting is in Preferences->Adding books

Should these lists have "Under Construction" signage?

The Custom columns tab especially needs to show the current library Name/Path. But that is also true of other sections, there many other per-library features - virtual libraries, various PI settings. Have a look at metadata_db_prefs_backup.json in a library folder.

Actually, it is in Preferences -> Behaviour.

I just did something I normally avoid - I looked at the code.

I was curious how the UI Location column was being gleaned from the configuration files e.g. gui.py.json --- and I saw that is hardcoded in settings_tab.py.

Yes, exactly what I was thinking. Will see if I can implement a source file to feed the UI locations column, tomorrow.

I changed my post a bit - replaced category with keywords.

I wouldn't try to get too granular with double click/enter.

I think we should take this 'issue' out of the plugin thread itself. PM here is not suitable because it doesn't support attachments, open to ideas… like good old email.

Added: Does Calibre_Config_Reports-3.0.3.100.zip make use of the csv… I'm assuming it doesn't… yet.
