I successfully get to step 6 of Disabling OTA Updates and it says to "open KUAL"

I am assuming that it is listed as a "book" and there is no "book" named KUAL.

I have exactly the same issue
Kindlew PW 11th 5.18.3

Jailbroken all fine, even get the message saying it is installing KUAL, but it doesn't appear

I just picked up a brand new in box Kindle Scribe (2024) 64GB.
I've been following the jailbreak directions and everything has worked well until the KUAL installation.

Firmware: 5.17.2
18.2MB free storage on the Kindle currently.
I downloaded kual-mrinstaller-khf.tar and Update_KUALBooklet_HDRepack.bin (The Coplate version)
Placed the .bin into ../mrpackages/ and followed instructions, running ;log mrpi and it finishes and ends with the "Application Error" dialog. The back in Library there is no KUAL book.
I tried again and got the same results.

Not sure where to go from here. Is this not the correct version of KUAL for this Kindle?

Update from post above.
Free'd up some more space, now 38MB free on Kindle.

Which is Update_KUALBooklet_HDRepack.bin
This does not work for me, no KUAL book appears.

I just tried grabbing the KUAL (coplate) | KUAL-c6ac782-20250419.tar.xz | 2025-Apr-19 13:37:00 | 73.5K | N/A | Upstream files from this forum and trying those.
Same result, it runs the install process and still no KUAL book.
I tried placing the Update_KUALBooklet_hotfix_c6ac782_install.bin inside the root directory and when I disconnect the Kindle from my PC it gives me a warning that an invalid update file has been loaded. And does not let me update.

Update, got it working!
I believe the issue was not having enough space freed up. I freed up 1GB and it now worked and the KUAL book is showing.

The "Update_KUALBooklet_c6ac782_install.bin" file is included in the tar.xz archive. Extract it and place it in the mrpackages folder on your Kindle. This version works on Paperwhite 12 gen.
