Buy Used Kindle 1 or 2, St. Louis area

Does anyone have a Kindle 1 or 2 that they are selling for gently-used or used prices in the St. Louis area (or not in the St. Louis area)?

My fiance borrows my Kindle 2 from time to time and wants one, but doesn't have the money for a new one and in any case is being his typical self and refusing to spend money on enjoying himself.

So, I told him I'd surprise him anyway (shouldn't have told him; some surprise!) and am now looking for an in-good-shape used Kindle.

I know that some people are selling either to upgrade from a 1 to a 2 or from a 2 to a DX, or 1 to DX, or ... you get the idea.

If I can find a local seller, I would meet you in a public place and pay cash - this is the safest way for all parties to handle sales of bigger-ticket items. I am located in the Brentwood area but don't mind driving around the metro area.

Because I do not use Paypal/eBay due to severe issues with them (won't go into here), if I purchase from a non-local seller, I'd be happy to purchase an Amazon gift certificate for the seller (for instance, if you have a Kindle 1 to sell and then bought a Kindle 2 - the gift certificate can fund future book purchases for your new Kindle). I can print a prepaid (to you) FedEx label for sending the Kindle to me.

This is an open-ended request as I don't have a timeframe in mind. I will close it either when I find a Kindle for him or if I'm able to buy a Kindle 1 advertised semi-locally on Craigslist (I've emailed; don't know if it's still available as yet).
