Yes shelf view supports only one emblem. And automatic put the emblem either above or below the book depending on where there is most space, after placing the mark and on device emblems as well.

And yeah, we are very limited to space here, and when two icons share the same place, we need to resize them so that it doesn't overflow, which can be squishy. Place them when the space is availde in the order: bellow, above, and if both taken, bellow and resize the two. Custom emblem placement is determined after the Calibre ones. Quote:
Work on that. But I doudt that you idea of a top entry will be posible. We'll see, there will be at least one button "Reset" somewhere. Last edited by un_pogaz; 01-25-2026 at 04:42 AM. |

[QUOTE=un_pogaz;4562651]Yep, only one and singular emblem (maybe tweak the string a bit to avoid confusion, I just copy-past the text from grid and remove the plural).
And yeah, we are very limited to space here, and when two icons share the same place, we need to resize them so that it doesn't overflow, which can be squishy. Okay, I just wanted to know. |

hmm, looking at the website and seeing that you mentioned AI integration, I strongly suggest to add a line about the fact the user can "disable" AI features and how to do it. Yes, it is explicitly stated that it is opt-in, but AIgen features cause such knee-jerk reactions that it's important to put in writing in black and white that you can easily disable them with a single AI kill-switch button (the important terme is disable, not opt-in, the second is not strong enough). Just look at Firefox, which started adding AI features and is now embroiled in a huge controversy because it plans to add such AI kill-switch option only vaguely in about six months. But users want it now. So I think it important to clearly comunicate that such option already exist. (and yes, is not a "true disabeling", but semantic precision is not really important is such knee-jerk topic) Also, this option is not mentionned in the main changelog. For us, it's a big deal that this includes two important fixes for Kobo eReader users in Japan.
In particular, I'd like to take this opportunity to thank poolboie for investigating the official implementation of tate-chu-yoko. As they pointed out in the 5channel community, some publishers, like Iwanami Shoten for example, use tateyoko and otateyoko classes instead of the standard EBPAJ/DPFJ tcy class, which my fix did not account for. The OMF cover image reading feature is also significant for the tasks of extracting cover images and transferring them to KEPUB. This is a particularly meaningful update for the latter, as it previously used cover images automatically generated by calibre. P.S. It wasn't my suggestion, but OMF support has now been implemented in Thorium Reader as well. |
