Hello!

When using KOReader with a custom sleep image on PB Era, the portrait variant is used for both portrait and landscape modes. Is there a way to make KOReader respect the screen orientation during the sleep?

I have two versions of the sleep image (portrait and landscape) placed in /system/resources/Line/, and the default PB reader chooses the correct one depending on the rotation without issues.

This issue has been discussed here, but I do not understand how to implement the solution described in the thread. Any help, please?

koreader 25.10 crashes on every start

Since the update i get crash-logs:

(line next to the first Current time entry in the crash-log)

has monolibtic? no (libs/libkoreader-monolibtic.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory)
lib_search_path:libs/?

The file is missing! Looked in the libs-folder and its not there.

Then i have warnings:
WARN Terminal: cannot open /dev/ptmx: Permission denied
WARN Terminal: Device doesn't meet some of the plugin's requirements

Hope that helps!

Those are harmless; it just means you won't be able to use the terminal emulator on that particular device.

Nice to know, but the permanent crashes are somewhat annoying...

If there are crashes rather than just logs I misunderstood. Some things are always written to crash.log; the name is more about the fact that that's where you'll need to look if you have a crash. If there's nothing private in there it's easier to attach the whole file. In any case it'll say something more relevant further down.

Cover image on a Era Color?

I have a Pocketbook Era Color with firmware U700k3.6.10.2359 running koreader 2025.10. It works very well.
I do want to automatically update the cover image when the e-reader is turned off. However, I do not succeed in finding a working combination of settings.

I tried the instructions here https://github.com/koreader/koreader...etbook-devices too, also specifically for firmware 6.10, but it do not work yet.

Does anyone here as a suggestion for a working combination of settings so the cover image is automatically updated and picked up by Pocketbook?

FYI: I open the books using the default Pocketbook library, and I set koreader as the default reader app.

Screen -> Cover image -> Set image path -> /mnt/ext1/system/logo/bookcover
Screen -> Cover image -> Size, background and format -> BMP file format

You need to remove `.bmp` extension, I've updated the Wiki.
