Thanks to Waldy, I was able to obtain Shine 2HD images (in two versions), but I am finally and officially giving up on trying to revive this very strangely behaving piece of hardware. I have used various Tolino devices over the years (Basic Page & Shine, Vision 1, Vision 6), but firmware-wise, the Shine HD2 seems to be the most unstable of them all. As soon as I managed to power it up with Waldy's images, the power button started to malfunction. Instead of entering sleep mode with one click, it displayed a dialog box with power-off and screenshot options and then became completely unresponsive. I have at least six motherboards scavenged from secondhand devices with broken screens, and every single one behaved the same way. Finally, I resorted to the Kobo Glo HD image, and apart from a few tolerable quirks (you turn up the light by sliding the slider from 0 to 100 a few times), and the fact that it freezes when trying to update, so far I'm happy with it.

I think you will need to enable Private Messages in the user control panel under Settings & Options => Edit Options to allow a private message with the image link to be sent. See attached image.

Edit: A site administrator has toggled your PMs to enabled.
