new Calibre-Web server installs without errors, but can't connect

I created a dockeradmin acct and made sure all folders and files in the Caliber-Web share were owned by this acct.
running on new Synology 925+

http://192.168.1.2:8083 returns a server err or no data sent

deleted and rebuilt the container many times
no errors in log file
