And the best tool for finding all the things calibre can do is the "Calibre Config Reports" plugin's Action tab BR |

Neat. That's a nifty plugin. Have been using Calibre for eons and I'm always amazed at all the things it can do. |

Funny enough, the more I look at the Calibre Config Reports plugin, the more I like it. The tabbed navigation, filtering and other tools, etc. Visually, this is how I'd want a Reading tracker plugin to look.

I totally understand. This plugin business is a lot of time and effort. I did manage to figure something out, using the config reports as a jumping off point. Do you mind if I message you about it?

After screenshotting 5+ screens of cover gridss and stitching it together, would be nice to automatically export a collage from selected books, perhaps including titles

UI Grouping Nodes "Choose an Icon for This Value"
Hello, I'm new here to Mobileread so I apologize if any of this is not allowed or anything.
I have been trying to figure out for days how to change the icons for the letter groupings in the author sort and publisher sort. I really like the alphabetical groupings so I don't want to just turn them off, i just want to be able to choose an icon but the option is greyed out. I don't know if this would even be doable as a plugin or if it would to be a whole software update at some point or what. Thanks for reading I guess lol Last edited by justabookishread; 03-01-2026 at 05:25 PM. |

Assuming I had something to create the json file for a series, as in your example, I would put a link to the file in the Series Link field, or the Series Note field.
I'd probably opt for the latter as it would provide a convenient place to locate the file - example: BR |

Author sort alphabetical tags
My library is over 7000 books (all epub) and is getting unwieldly to navigate. The primary sort is by author last name and it would be helpful to be able to have alphabetical tabs vertically along the left side (beside the line numbers) to allow me to jump to the first entry of authors beginning with a specific letter. For example if looking for an author "Smith", hitting the "S" tab would jump to the first author with the name beginning with S. It would eliminate the need to scroll through thousands of lines.
Perhaps there is already a way to do this but I haven't been able to find it. |
