Turning on Blutooth without turning on Wi-Fi?
When I turn on Bluetooth on my device (Clara 2E), it automatically turns on the Wifi, which I then have to turn manually.

Is there a way to disable this functionality? I couldn't find anything in the settings file.

This is a bit annoying as I sideload books, and when Wi-Fi turns on it starts synching, and I get duplicates in the library. I also like to conserve the battery so don't want this extra feature.

Is there anything stopping you from removing the WiFi network setup on your Kobo? (More => Settings => Wi-Fi connection => Edit Wi-Fi networks)?

That is about the only action you can take. The WiFi/Bluetooth chip is rather simplistic. The latest version of NickelMenu does allow you to disable/enable WiFi and Bluetooth so while I haven't tried this, you should be able to chain turning Bluetooth on and then turning WiFi off.

Seems not, removed WiFi network, turn Bluetooth on, WiFi off. Sleep - wake, WiFi turns on without connection, WiFi enabled, scanning. Granted it won't sync but don't think it's (Clara BW) saving any power. "Wi-Fi scanning (when disconnected) generally consumes more power than being actively connected to a Wi-Fi network".

i noticed this too; i bought a cute little page turning device and discovered this issue. its maddeningly stupid on their end. i do not want wifi on ever, i just want bluetooth.

my solution was to use nickelmenu to add custom 'turn bt on/off' toggle menu item, which seems to do the trick.
