In this case, it's nothing to do with support. It's due to the fact that Windows 7 can only run a very outdated version of calibre where Windows 10 can run the current version of calibre. Also, I have Windows 10 on my Surface Pro 2 and it did receive updates for November. I've not does a Windows Update in December.

For what it may be worth, the latest version of calibre does not run on versions of Window 10 before 1809. You are limited to 7.26 as the last version.

Here is the link to get Windows 10 22H2 from Microsoft. This will allow the latest version of calibre as long as the 64-bit version is installed.

If and only if, your Windows 10 install is able to update to 1809 or higher. You do remember the last time we went down that rabbit hole, that several people had computers that would not install 1809 or higher

Koreader has now the "Stable Page Number" using character count too. But the count result is different from the Count Pages plugin.

if it is possible, pls support that.

Count Pages doesn't need to be updated for KOReader. KOReader needs to be updated to use ADE page numbers.

Count Pages has a "Custom (Chars per page)" mode, same as KOReader stable pages. And they both default to 1500.

Does that not give you similar page counts? Have you tried?

Getting this error. No matter how much i restart calibre it doesnt get fixed. Removing and installing doesnt fix it either

Manually deleting json file from AppData\Roaming\calibre\plugins fixed the issue

Does KOReader get it's 1500 characters per page from the file when it's compressed or uncompressed? Does it include the code nor just text?

If you don't know, I suggest you go look a the code for KOReader's page count and post in here how it's computed.

Is there a way to customize the menu icon for Count Pages? I've customized my theme and icons for the rest of calibre, and I'd love to change the Count Pages icon to match
