Great, thanks a lot! I also managed to build it for PW2 thanks to the files you sent!
I'm preparing a few more improvements and I'll publish in a few days version 1.3.

About the GStreamer warning, I also get it on my device, it shouldn't be a problem. Anyway, it's not related to music playback.

First, I set up the basic KOX toolchain following the usual instructions. When configuring the sysroot, I modified the download URL so it would pull the KOA firmware instead. After that, I tried copying the header files that were provided into my sysroot. However, compiling directly with those headers resulted in GLIBC version mismatch errors.

Because of that, I decided to build GStreamer myself. I downloaded the KOA source packages from Amazon, then built and installed libffi and glib2.0 into the sysroot. After that, I built and installed GStreamer (also into the sysroot). Once those were in place, I copied the provided headers into the sysroot again — and this time the compilation succeeded without any GLIBC complaints.

Hopefully this information is useful to someone running into the same issues.

I’ll also attach the packaged sysroot and the compiled binaries from my toolchain. They run on my Kindle, although I’m not yet sure whether audio output is actually working.

The forum attachment system doesn’t seem to allow files that large, so I’m sharing them through a Google Drive link.

Please note that my sysroot may contain some hard‑coded absolute paths, so I can’t guarantee it will work out of the box.
Is there any chance that you can launch a GitHub repo for the soft float version of KinAMP?

I didn’t modify the original author’s code — I only tried compiling it myself. You suggested that I should create a separate repository for it, but that feels a bit unnecessary to me. The original author also mentioned that they plan to add build instructions and provide armel binaries later, so I’d rather wait for their official update.

If there’s anything else you’d like me to test or help with, I’m happy to do so.

The original author hasn’t released the armel binaries yet, but if you’re looking for them, you can use the armel build I posted earlier. Just replace the two corresponding files inside the original release archive with the ones I provided.
You can find the download link here:

Yes, I've been waiting for some help developing a Koreader plugin before releasing the next version. But I think I'll do a small update this weekend with armel+armhf combined + a few small changes.

Hope I'll do a bigger release in a few weeks.

Until then use TQHYG's soft float version.

As he said, you don't need to fork the kinamp repo. Just add the sysroot he posted to your PW2 toolchain and build it using the provided instructions.
