I've mostly switched to BookFusion but occasionally fire up Marvin for search and deep view. I plan on trying Readest when I have the time to mess around.
I've tried Readest and it's so-so. Not as good as BookFusion.

So my mom accidentally upgraded to IOS26 and Marvin no longer works for her. I downloaded the app Yomu and seems to be a good alternative to Marvin. I like that it syncs using iCloud when I switch from reading books on iphone or ipad. It's also a one time payment and my mom was able to use the premium coz she's on my iCloud Family.

She's a bit frustrated with the app coz she's not techie enough and doesn't know how to make fonts bigger or add new books etc but so far she hasn't complained again after I tweaked it to her liking.

Thank you for this info. After Marvin stopped working, I have used MapleRead SE, but at first sight, Readest looks very well.
