Hello, everyone! First post ever; discovered this forum while trying to fix my Kobo Touch 905B. It froze and I connected it to my computer and tried to sideload its original firmware, and now it's stuck in a loop with a smiley-faced Kobo icon and five squares that go from white to black over and over. Green power light flashes continuously. If I let the battery drain, it just does the same thing when I connect it to a charger again. Computer (Mac) can't see into the Kobo anymore to try to overwrite the firmware.

I'd love an original micro SD card image that I could use to get this thing back to factory conditions.

Also, any tips on the safest way to get the back of the Kobo off? Any links would be appreciated.

Hoping to get the firmware for a Clara HD N249. The old drive seems to not be recoverable to try a stable SD card and attempt to repair it sadly. Now I need to start fresh.
