If the date added is not changing but the date modified is, you can try using the JobSpy plugin to reset the date modified to the date added.

Ah. I assumed from your previous post you were still talking about the ToC.

Given the way FFF's update and output customization work, I can prepend the post author to the chapter text, but not embed it in the chapter title.

That would put it after chapter title--IE, whatever chapter_start is configured. And without the benefit of being customizable itself except by CSS.

I've been getting an odd error when I try to pull from Ao3, but it's not a server error or anything. It comes back as

TypeError: expected string or bytes-like object, got 'bool'

. I tried searching for any info on this but couldn't find anything. I also tried uninstalling and reinstalling the plugin, but that didn't correct it, either. It had been working perfectly fine, and it was within the same session that it first errored out. Calibre has been restarted several times since then of course and still has the error.

Attached is the debug-log. Thank you in advance for any advice you might have

From that trace, it looks like something in personal.ini not parsing correctly?

Can you provide the full debug log to show more context of when it happens? Or the 'Safe' copy of your personal.ini?

Thank you so much for the response! That was indeed the issue. I forgot I had tried to override the extratags default setting, since I don't want the FanFiction tag added (or need any additional ones at all, preferably) and didn't think it would accept a blank.

Question: On AO3, the tags like Gen, F/M, M/M, they're merged with regular tags into Genres. How do I make it go to beginning of Genres on title page?

I believe those are put in ao3categories when not 'Gen'.

You'd need to play with changing include_in_genre and keep_in_order_X to try and get them at the beginning of genre. Not sure it would work even then.
