Sorry, I can't help with that. I never got the python code to compile, I only packaged it. My guess is it's for a slightly different cpu or something. If somebody else can compile it. Sorry. You could try running a lightweight linux distro, like void or alpine, in a chroot, and installing python on that. Before this project released, I used that for python. There should be an app on here, maybe github, that allows you to enter the chroot and exit it. apk on that version is broken. But search around.

This might be a bit extreme. You can try setting up a small lightwieght linux distro on your kindle. :
https://github.com/schuhumi/alpine_kindle Might work. You can strip down gui stuff if you don't need it, and install python. I do not have a guide for it, but see if you can get this working. |

I could install it on my PW6 (Kindle Paperwhite 12th Gen) with FW 5.18.5.0.1.
The kindletool (v1.6.5 found in https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=225030) gave an error: Unknown device C7F. So I downloaded the v.1.6.6 for linux and used WSL to run it. And it worked. Got my custom bin and installed flawless. ./kindletool extract Update_python3.11_install_khf_11thgenplus.bin python3pw6 cd python3pw6 ../kindletool create ota2 -d C7F . Update_python3.11_install_khf_pw6.bin Then copy the bin into mrpackages and run with ;log mrpi |
