Get a book sample on the reader
I've got a very old Kobo Touch and I wanted to try to read a book sample from the Kobo Store on it. It was fine, I found the book in the store and downloaded the sample to the reader. However, it asked for updating the software and I accepted it without thinking. I did not realise that after that I am not able to connect to the store anymore. I wonder if there is still a way to transfer the book sample to the reader?

I managed to resolve it. After the update, the reader displayed a message telling me to go to kobosetup.com to download a Windows app and set it up again. However, when I went to that page, there was no link to download the app.
I then searched for the link on Google, downloaded the app manually, and completed the setup. After that, everything worked again. I initially thought the Kobo Touch was no longer supported, but it turns out that it still is. |
