Store epubs but have kepubs on device
Hi,
My library consists of mostly epub files. I typically send new books from my library to my ereader wirelessly, and this works fine, but I would like a kepub file to be sent to my device, rather than an epub. Storing kepub and epub in the library seems to be a bit redundant, so I would like to send the former but keep the latter in the library. I believe that Calibre has the ability to do this, as have seen reference to it many times. But what I never see is the caveat that this only works over a physical usb connection. For reasons I still can't fathom, the method of connection makes a difference. I'm not interested in explanations why this is thanks, there is no good reason as far as I'm concerned. So my question is, what is the most efficient way of storing epubs in library and ending up with kepubs on device, having been transferred wirelessly. Options I've considered: 1. Storing kepubs in library instead of epubs. No idea if this is wise. 2. send.djazz.se (fine for individual books but no good for batch transfer) |

If you have a device that supports Dropbox, you can transfer books that way. What method of wireless transfer are you using now?

If you use KOReader, why do you want kepubs? They only have advantages if you read in the native reader. Can KOReader even read kepubs?

You could use the native UI to download books from Dropbox. Once they're on the device, KOReader should see them.
Other than that, I don't know a way to achieve what you want. |

Read ePub in KOReader and KePub otherwise. Either that or don't use KOReader.

For KOReader, there are no advantages to using kepub. When I play with either KOReader or Plato, I just sent ePubs.
