You missed a Plugin or setting. Last read is Viewer/device specific

If you had used Calibre Export, then Calibre Import on the new computer, all (not just the Official ones) your plugins and settings would have been put in place.

That's what i did, export/import.
It brought over the ones from before, it's just not updating when I read something now.

I would be very leery of using the file system to copy anything into a functional Library folder. One simple looking variation can cause a lot of grief.

Can you get a Network share (ethernet cable connection on both) To that old unit? I have had decent luck. PULLING (all activity is done on the Main computer) from my intake computer.
CALIBRE NOT RUNNING ON OLD when doing this.
SET preferences: Adding Books: Adding Actions (a tab): Auto-merge: create a NEW record. (allows you to manually choose what to actually keep/merge after review)
In Calibre: Switch/Create: Use Existing: <the remote Library>:Select book: right click: copy to Library

my last viewed column is updated by the JS+ plugin.

https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=269911

(and I have a similar column "last action", but I use both) - Last Modified plugin.

there is another plugin capable of updating such column, I used it for a while:

Auto Datestamp and View
