Not likely. The KDP page quoted in the first post repeatedly says EPUB and PDF and it doesn't say anything about specific Amazon formats.

JHowell's speculation at post 18 of this thread seems the most likely way Amazon will produce ebups, for the reasons he gives there.

Wont those Amazon formats be used for publishers or authors that still want drm.
