Back in the early 2000s, there were rumours of a 4th book in the HalfBlood Chronicles by Andre Norton and Mercedes Lackey which was outlined but never finished due to Andre Norton's death. The book has now been completed by Mercedes Lackey and Ben Ohlander. It'll be about 24 years between books when Elvenbred will be released in mid-2026.

I would love to have ebooks of The Tall Woman by Wilma Dykeman and The Big Sky series (The Big Sky; The Way West; Fair Land, Fair Land) by A.B. Guthrie jr.

Oh wow, that takes me back. I'll keep an eye out for it. It might well be a total trainwreck like these kinds of things often are, but I'll pick it up out of nostalgia if nothing else.

I have the same feelings. I got the impression that Norton may have been involved in the plotting for the first three books, but the writing was entirely Lackey's and that part was fine. If the writing job has passed to Ohlander, and Lackey is mostly helping with the plotting like Norton used to do, it could end up having a completely different feel from the rest.

Making a world and characters hang together in a believable way is unfortunately not Lackey's strong suit, although she did get better over time. But we don't know how much of it is Norton, Lackey, or Ohlander. So we'll just have to see! At the very least it should be an interesting read, Lackey has always been good at fun adventures.

There are a lot of unpublished Harlan Ellison stories I'd like to see in print. I'd also like to see the Doctor Who novels by Virgin as eBooks.

I don't know why, but the three Eureka TV show novels were available as eBooks but no longer. And this is a problem now because they were available as mass market paperbacks, but that market is going away next year.

Yes, this thread was about books that werem't available becoming available, and it seemed like once that happened they'd always be available and everything would be fine. I'm increasingly seeing things that used to be available as ebooks getting delisted and disappearing. Or not seeing them, I guess.

I didn't expect the Eureka books to no longer exist as eBooks. I only purchased the first two in eBook, but I was lucky enough to get the last as a mass market paperback. It's one of the reasons why I now back up everything in Calibre.

I keep saying:

Anything by Aaron Fletcher (except for the five that have been available for years).

No one knows who he is.

An author of mystery.

Only rumors.

No facts.

No one is talking.

There is nothing definitive.

More mysterious than Thomas Pynchon.
