Highlight text on several pages (Tolino -> Kobo)

Hey,

I read many posts about this already. I want to highlight text that goes into the next page. I know I need to keep pressing into the down-right corner.
I already know it needs to be in KEPUB format. All my books are in this format. They are sideloaded. I converted with Calibre to Kobo EPUB.

I am from Germany, so I bought a Tolino and switched it to the Kobo software. So afaik it should be the exact same device after that?

Its just does not work. Its an absolute pain in the butt and makes the device pretty much unusable for me :-(

I, too, have a koboized Tolino (Tolino Vision Color → Kobo Libra Colour). Cross-page bookmarks work here, I just tried it multiple times without problems. In my case, I sync the books with BookLore and they are KEPUBs, too. Unfortunately, I have no idea what the problem could be in your case. In any case, it's not because of the "conversion" to a Kobo device.

What firmware of Kobo are you on? Are there different KPUB versions maybe?
So Kobo EPUB is the same as KEPUB right?

A difference could be that in my case, kepubify does the conversion EPUB → KEPUB (yes, that's Kobo EPUB). In your case, it's Calibre.

Yes I tried all morning. Several books. It doesnt work. Can you maybe check wich version of Kobo you are on. I was not able to downgrade to 4.X and still on 5.11.23.... So I was also not able to KOREADER and Nickel... Wich was the original plan.

Rather frustrating process.

I need to try to do it again at home. It was weeks ago. Maybe months and I cannot tell where exactly I got stuck. I am quite used to tinkering with this kind of stuff but gave up after days of trying.
Then I just accepted I am not able to install KOREADER. But now that I am not even able to highlight text in a convenient way I am really frustrated.

Yeah that was the guide i was trying to get working.

I now was able to do it at work. I put the Update.tar file into the .Kobo diorectory. It updated and restarted. But hen I checked and was still on 5.11 afterwards.
what could be the reason?

OK! Nevermiiiiind I am on 4.39.22443 now. Wohooo.
I try everything now. KOREADER, Nickelmenu and of course the highlighting and get back to you if I still have problems.
I think I just downloaded the wring update.tar ooops
