Hello everyone,
I’m trying to repair a Kobo Clara HD (N249) whose internal microSD card seems to be corrupted.
The device no longer boots and I need the full SD card image to flash a new microSD.
If anyone could share the image for the N249 model, it would be a huge help.

I thought I sent a PM doublechecking the Kobo device you have. There is no 305B though there is a Touch N905B and an Aura HD N204B. I'll send both those images. If neither is the right one, then post again with the model number.

I took a look at your image which is in a 3,111MB .rar file. Some items I noticed

• at location 0x200 in the image, your serial number is present
• the FAT32 partition was not cleaned up before the image was created
• the image has NickelMenu, KOReader, Plato and KFMON installed.

I set the serial number at 0x200 in the image to N249123456789 and wrote the image to a temp block. I then copied the visible contents of the FAT32 partition to temp storage, zeroed the partition and copied the visible contents back to the partition. After doing this I checked and wrote a new copy of the disk image. Using 7Zip to compress the image into a .zip file gave me a 484MB file which is a lot smaller than the 3,111MB .rar file.

The zipped image file can be downloaded from koboclarahd_8GB.zip if you care to.

Wiping the FAT32 partition removes a lot of deleted/orphaned data which removes the ability to use an undelete utility to recover deleted books, etc. and allows a archive utility to store that space very efficiently.

Hi, do you have any other Kobo N905 Touch images? the b doesn't seen to be working. It is recognized on my computer now and in the Kobo desktop software, but the screen is still frozen.
