I've read that some people cannot turn the wifi off on the Libra Colour, because it's always turning back on by itself, with the newest firmware. Solution: revert back to previous firmware.
That is a bug like hell.

Well, not as bad, when it bricks your device, indeed.

I agree, partially. Although a new 10.3″ device would be a mistake, given that they still haven’t sold the first gen Elipsa models, not to mention the Elipsa 2E piles.

So, a new Kobo Aura HD ftw (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kobo_Aura_HD, or Aura H2O)? Would a million-dollar question also be: infrared or capacitive touchscreen?

The AuraHD too had a good pricing sale when discontinued iirc.

There may be other bits in color: title page, links, logos, images, other works by the author. And if your into highlighting/note taking, some colors.

I can't speak to the latest firmware available for Kobo color devices, but all of my BW Kobos are running the latest firmware available for them, and I've not noticed any bugs.

That said, I also am running straight stock firmware, no patches of any sort.

I agree. 6" and 7" are in the goldilock zone of reader sizes, they are more book like. Anything bigger wouldn't feel like a book, more like a table for me.

If that was an issue, there would be a lot more posts about it here. I think it doesn't effect as many as you think.

A new 10.3" Kobo with a much better battery and 300DPI would be what's needed.

This shows that Kobo's firmware is not buggy as hell. I'm running 4.38.23171 and it's not buggy as hell. Not at all.

The Aura HD was released in April 2013. There are no new ones.

These other bits don't need color. And if you don't highlight enough, then you don't need color for that.

Most science fiction/fantasy books don't have images in the book. Yes, some do but most don't. Also, I've seen some without color images so that makes the number with color images an even smaller number.

For me, a 7" is a good size and it's still portable enough and I can hold it in one hand to read.

Maybe next time lead with you don't need color, or add an "IMO", or for the limited content you read, ...

The point is that a lot of people don't need or want color and there is no 7" Kobo without color. That's the problem. For some, the 6" is too small and the 8" is either too large or the battery is not good enough.

The 8″ Sage battery is good enough, it's just not as good as most others.

More than 9″ is really a document viewer. It would be good if there were 5, 7 and 9 inch choices as well as 6 and 8 inch for mono. But it's going to far to suggest that Kobo or the 8″ model are rubbish.

I found the 10.3″ no use at all to read novels.
