Both designs work well for me. I'd just like to see 6" readers have buttons on the sides again like old Kindles. Sometimes I'd want to read on a 6" screen, but there are no good options out there.

my favourite thing about the Voyage (and the original Amazon-branded origami case) is how incredibly simple it is to take it out and put it back in. I can read without the case and slide it in for protection afterwards. one wonders why Amazon doesn't do that anymore. hell one wonders why Amazon never released a version 2

I agree the initial official origami case for the Voyage is by far the best kindle case I've ever had. The case for the Oasis 2 was at least two giant steps backward. The stand mode almost never works, the cover can fall off, and if the alignment isn't perfect the kindle might get stuck powered on while the case is closed.

My personal preference is holding my ereaders with one hand. For this I've found my asymmetric (Kobo Forma, Kobo Sage and Kobo Libra Colour) to be easy to hold this way. I do swap hands but physically rotate the ereader when doing so (the display and buttons take care of themselves) so I am holding the bezel.

https://www.reddit.com/r/kindle/comm...i_doesnt_work/ electronics and water are natural enemies, there is no way around that. Currently the best way to somewhat implement it some water resistance is doing what phone manufacturers do, sealing the s**t out of the devices. kindle doesn't do that... |
