Syncthing problem
I have several devices with calibre on it - my base folders are on synology. and sync with Syncthing
my question is - if I add a book in my laptop for ex. with calibre does my calibre on my desktop will identify it? |

Calibre is not Network storage safe. (there is a FAQ on this) Never put or use a active Library on any remote storage device. Synology is perfect for a Backup copy (Mirror, not 2way) Google drive is a known cloud solution that damages libraries as it modifies the file names and breaks the linkages (the DB contains and uses those names) Never use the OS to merge Libraries. Calibre has built in tools that does all the needed DB stuff to do that task. Find Duplicates Plugin has a Find (a different) Library duplicates search if needed. Copy To Library is how you Move (or just copy) from 1 to another. |
