Guys, I have made some .mobi manga with kcc setup for Kindle Paperwhite 4 (10th), if I open it on sth like PW5, 6, what will it look like?
1. Full screen on PW 5, 6
or
2. Display only 1072x1448 images with large margin

Do I need to make another .mobi file when upgrade to newer device?

Depending on your settings, it will either have margins with a sharp image or fullscreen but slightly blurry.

So yes, you need a new mobi.

Device: Kindle Paperwhite 11 (2021), jailbroken and using Koreader

As you can see in photo 1, it is not so clear. but when using dithering it becomes clearer, most clear when using dewatermark.

I was wondering if I am doing something wrong that I am not getting clear images from the start, using dewatermark slows the page turning on my kindle. Or maybe the place from where I download manga has inferior quality? Please help

This is great work. Looking at the video i'm thinking sometimes there might be a problem "introduced" with this new method, cause occasionally I get a page that has 1/3 blank, the lower side.
I'm not 100% about this starting to happen since the update for 2480 or before, but it would make sense with the way you worked around the problem. next time it happens to me i'll try to document it and be sure that the original file didn't have the problem.

Blank pages/bottoms happen if turn pages too fast. Or if you use png with scribe. Documented in faq

Before when the problem occured whole page would be blank.

Hello,

I have a Kindle Paperwhite gen 7 and I've been trying to convert a cbr file to mobi with KCC. For some reason the panel view isn't working on the converted file - when I open the file on my kindle, I don't get the preview message about how to use panel view and if I double tap it doesn't zoom in to a corner, it just changes page.

I have another mobi file that I converted with an older version of KCC and panel view is working with that.

See the attached image of the settings I wanted to use. I've tried various other combinations as well. Am I doing something wrong?
