The 4.3" 221 ppi screen makes it poor for prolonged reading.

I had a 4.3 " eink and found it poor.

Actually my €99 inc shipping model also had no touch screen and no frontlight, like this model. Though this has WiFi and BT.

I went and read some reviews just from curiosity. It seems that layout and formatting options are pretty much nonexistent, and the default layout for languages other than Chinese is very bad. This is a serious drawback for non-Chinese readers.

And no frontlight. That's a dealbreaker right there for me, even if I were interested in a 4" device (which I'm not).

I just got mine, and need a hack to reduce the font size. (If I use Calibre, is there a way to shrink the epub version and leave the .mobi alone?)

Do an epub to epub conversion and adjust the font size in the conversion settings.

Of course you can do it manually in the editor as well, but that would be one by one.

Thanks. The only really annoying thing about it is how many words have to be hyphenated using the default size.

Welp, it looks like there's only one font, in one size on the device. I'll bring it out for real emergencies, but until somebody can hack the firmware, it'll just be a toy.

I finally found the sizing toggle (Medium or Small, and Small is way too big), and the place to switch to an external font file, but so far it chokes on everything I've tried to send it.

The manual says it requires BIN format fonts, and there are tools online to convert from TTF to BIN, but everything I've tried results in "FAILED TO GET DIMENSIONS."

OK, I have to give the XTEINK team credit. Within 12 hours of my email to their Support account, they posted the Literatura font in several sizes to a google drive.

There are so many compromises with a screen this small, but I really think they've done the best job possible. *My* review is a big two thumbs up!

Great. I have a 4.3" e-reader, very basic but it does the job reasonably well. I've been looking at other e-readers of that size with some additional features, but so far none of them have convinced me. Let me know what you think. Personally, I have no problem with that screen size. I think it's just right for carrying around with me, and I can read comfortably in landscape mode.
